Biography

Rose Uzoma Elekanachi, PhD, PT is a physiotherapist with extensive experience in paediatric research and teaching. She holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science and a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management from McGill University. She is a Physical Therapist with the OPPQ – Quebec, Canada, HCPC – United Kingdom, and MRTB – Nigeria Her research focuses on supporting children living with disabilities and their families, global health rehabilitation and policy. Dr. Elekanachi has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented her work internationally. She has also held several teaching assistant positions at McGill University. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at McMaster University, supporting equity-focused research at the DeGroote School of Business and the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.
