Biography
Dr. Vanessa Tomas is a postdoctoral researcher with CanChild Centre for Childhood-onset Disability Research, Department of Pediatrics, McMaster University. She received her MSc (Rehabilitation Sciences) from McMaster University in 2019 and PhD (Rehabilitation Sciences and Collaborative Program in Neurosciences) from University of Toronto in 2023. Her research focuses on equity-centred implementation science in the field of childhood-onset disability research, and approaches to service delivery that are strengths-based, family-centred, and holistic. In addition to her postdoctoral researcher role, she collaborates and consults with organizations like Kids Brain Health+ and The Center for Implementation.
