Biography

Abdulrahman a third-year Honours Life Sciences student at McMaster University with a growing interest in pediatric rehabilitation and child health. What draws him to this area is the idea that a child’s development is shaped by more than just clinical outcomes. It is shaped by their environment, their family, and the small, everyday experiences that build confidence and independence over time. Through his experiences, he has become interested in how we can better understand and support children in ways that feel meaningful in their daily lives, not just measurable in a clinical sense. He is especially interested in work that considers the perspectives of both children and their families, and how care can be shaped around what truly matters to them. He hopes to contribute to research that is thoughtful, grounded, and ultimately more connected to the lived experiences of the people it is meant to support.
