Biography

Hello! My name is Aleesha Sheikh, and I am a fourth-year Health Sciences student at McMaster University. This year I am completing my thesis project with members of the MCares lab in the area of improving telehealth for children with developmental disabilities. I started my undergraduate research journey at McMaster and have completed research on the topics of pediatric infectious diseases, intimate partner violence and orthopedic outcomes, drug use and cardiology, as well as the effect of COVID-19 vaccination on solid organ transplants. I am so excited to gain new research skills this year while being part of a research group where we work to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
