Biography

Aleesha Sheikh is a fourth-year Health Sciences student at McMaster University. This year she is completing her thesis project with members of the MCares lab in the area of improving telehealth for children with developmental disabilities. She started her undergraduate research journey at McMaster and has completed research on the topics of pediatric infectious diseases, intimate partner violence and orthopedic outcomes, drug use and cardiology, as well as the effect of COVID-19 vaccination on solid organ transplants. She is so excited to gain new research skills this year while being part of a research group where they work to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
